New York Jets at Buffalo

The Jets are coming off a great year.  Everyone was expecting them to struggle after Joe Namath's retirement, but instead they got better.  Their defense is solid and Vince Evans proved himself to be a good quarterback.  They should be ready for another run at the AFC East title this season and maybe even the AFC.  The Bills on the other hand are in the process of rebuilding.  The problem is they haven't found any skill players to replace their aging ones like OJ Simpson.  It will be a long year in Buffalo.

  1. Ironically, given his name, Mike Quick was not the fastest receiver available to the Jets in the first round of the NFL82 draft. But the former North Carolina State standout is a sure-handed runner of precise routes, and he might already be developing a rapport with Vince Evans.

The pass from New YorkAFC's QB1 #1 Vince Evans is caught by WR6 #88 Mike Quick for a gain of just over 21 yards. Touchdown, New YorkAFC! That was 49AflagX (1588) against Buffalo's NGPM373 (1584).

  2. "Eddie Lee and Ivory"--an admiring takeoff of the Paul McCartney-Stevie Wonder No. 1 hit "Ebony and Ivory"--debuted on New York radio air waves this week in anticipation of the Jets' season kickoff.
