  1. George Rogers, the Heisman Trophy winner at South Carolina last fall and Oakland's first-round draft choice this spring, had a 41-yard touchdown run in this game. New starter Jensen ran well in this game, but it appears inevitable that Clarence Davis's old HB1 job will eventually belong to Rogers.

The only other new Raider starter on offense is WR2 Darryl Neely, an old Oakland hand who takes over for retired Mike Siani.

John Madden and Al Davis have shuffled a series of veteran castoffs into their defense. Among them are two new starters--DT2 Phil Murphy, the Bucs' first-round pick out of South Carolina State in NFL80, and S2 Ray Oldham, a former starter in the Lions' secondary. In addition, the Raiders' depth chart includes DT3 Cody Jones, a waiver-wire pickup from San Francisco; LB4 Charlie Hall from Cleveland; LB5 Scot Brantley from Baltimore and CB5 Mike Nelms from Buffalo.
