    Journeyman Rickey Anderson is taking advantage of the first HB1 job of his five-year career.

    Anderson's ascension is at the expense of longtime HB1 Otis Armstrong. Armstrong was the Broncos' first-round draft choice out of Purdue in 1973. "His phenomenal sophomore season saw him become only the 5th player in NFL history to average over 100 yards rushing per game over the course of a season," says Armstrong's 1976 card.
