  1. A crazybad play for the Redskins and Thomas, who is on the very short list of greatest runners in NFL76 era.

  2. Washington explodes on the Chiefs, with a couple of Theismann touchdown throws sprinkled among solid running from Thomas's backups, HB2 John Hill and HB3 Andy Reid.

Frank Grant and Bill Kilmer collaborated on NFL's longest pass of 1976, going for 96 yards against the Giants on Nov. 9, his 1976 card says. "Frank played mostly on special teams, 1973 & 1974."

  3. Spoiled on Super Bowl-winning signal-callers Len Dawson and Mike Livingston, Chiefs fans have never quite fell in love with Hendrickson. But no one could reasonably deny that the former World Football League refugee's a plucky gamer who does what it takes to keep Kansas City winning.

  4. Mad props to the Redskin offensive line, who paves the way for Washington's skill-position darlings to grab their headlines with 409 yards of total offense. The leader of the unit is C1 Bob Kuziel, a holder of an economics degree, who, for three seasons, played every game as a member of the Redskins' specialty teams. He became Washington's starting center in 1978.
