I've been playing the game Sierra Front Page Sports Football since around 1995, and in a Football Pro 98 league since around 2000. Well early least year a friend of mine, Eric, stumbled upon a web site where someone had put together league files for the 1976 NFL season. I decided to download them and have the computer replay the season. We found it to be so much fun we decided to carry on to the 1977 season. I sent Eric the files and he ran the draft for the 1977 season. Replacing the made up computer names with real player names, and so began our replay of the NFL from 1976 to the present. Sad to say since we didn't have this in mind to begin with a few computer generated players made their way into the league in 1976, but since then all the players are renamed to match real NFL players. We simply assumed these were WFL players who never got a shot in the real NFL.
Anyhow now here we are at the end of the 1980 season and it dawned on me that it would be fun to capture all of this on the web somewhere and a blog seemed to be a simple way to get the information out there and stored for historic purposes. Hope you enjoy the site as much as we enjoy replaying the seasons.
