  1. Here's a good example of the Rams being the Rams.

Los Angeles's ball on Philadelphia's 30 yard line. Fourth and less than 1 to go. 2:00 left in the fourth quarter. The score is Los Angeles 24, Philadelphia 14.
Los Angeles's QB1 #11 James Harris gives to HB2 #38 John Cappelletti. Cappelletti runs for a gain of 1 yard. Cappelletti is tackled by Philadelphia's DE2 #68 Reggie P Lewis. First down, Los Angeles! LB4 #54 Brad Storm is shaken up on the play. First and 10 to go. That was G22lead (1394) against GW1PRES0 (1400).

  2. The great rookie season of Eagles S1 Vann McElroy ends with a bang.

    Defense Tackles Sacks Knocks
    S1 Vann McElroy 9 2

"A real hitter in the defensive secondary, he's effective against both the pass and the run," says his 1984 card. The Eagles selected McElroy in the first round of the NFL82 draft from Baylor, and the rangy 6-foot-2, 190-pounder racked up a team-high 93 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception (returned 67 yards for a touchdown). Philadelphia still has plenty of work to do on its 24th-ranked defense, but, in young McElroy, the Eagles appear to have one dependable building block firmly in place.
