New coach Joe Gibbs has 16 first-year Colts on the Baltimore roster, but none of them is starting. Taking over for retired All-Pro WR2 Glenn Doughty is Bill Malouf, a quarterback at Mississippi whom Baltimore selected as a wide receiver in the 16th round of the NFL75 draft. Taking over for cut S1 Ray Oldham is Bob Smith, a Maryland product whom the Colts took later in that same 16th round of the NFL75 draft. Oddly, one of the new Colts, G4 Steve Knutson, whom Gibbs acquired in a trade with Kansas City, was also selected in the 16th round of the NFL75 draft.
