The Bills played tough, but in the end the Saints were just too good. A great game for the Saints backfield and defense.

It seems only a matter of time before Dorsett overtakes Lockwood as the Saints' HB1.
ReplyDeleteIt should also be noted that the Ron Crews-for-Bruce Hardy trade with Miami might not turn out to be so lopsided. While Crews stood out in the Dolphins' overtime win this week, Hardy has emerged as Hank Stram's TE1. Plus, Crews's absence has created an opportunity for a promising new DT2, Monte Bennett, a rookie free agent out of Kansas State who had a sack in this game.
It should furthermore be noted that this was the first start for Sidney Brown, and he had a terrific, huge game. Brown, out of Oklahoma, was Hank Stram's third-round choice way back in the much-maligned NFL77 draft.
